About Us
Piano4Everyone is distinct from “regular” music making as its purpose is the enjoyment and well-being of the participant and the group, not an artistic or aesthetic outcome. Of particular importance is the fact that participation does not require talent or training. Exemplary performance is not the motive – fun and relaxation are the key drivers.
What is it all about?
Piano4Everyone tears down the age-old idea that music is “for a select group called musicians,” or that you can’t get into it without a huge investment in equipment, time and talent. In short,
Pure Enjoyment, Health, and Social Benefits
Imagine a world where everyone makes music…where there’s no pressure to perform, no rigid training schedule…just people playing for the pure enjoyment, health and social benefits that go with it. Imagine a world where music has become an everyday outlet for socializing and living a healthier lifestyle where music is as much a part of every day life as exercise and nutrition.

History
History: German musician Johann Loger started teaching students to play piano in groups in 1815 in Ireland. The groups were large, 30 students in each, and students had to take turns by using one piano only. Still, even in such large groups students showed really great results! Several famous composers and pedagogues, such as F.Liszt, F.Chopin, Cl. Schumann also taught their pupils in a group class setting, as they realized the advantages of this method. It quickly became very popular, fun and productive way to learn the piano. In the United States, Calvin Cady endorsed class piano as one of the effective means of instruction. Between 1918 and 1930 group piano classes became very common here, and were included in elementary school programs. Group piano classes showed great results. Children enjoyed learning and progressing even faster than in a private lesson setting. Unfortunately, due to a financial depression after the World War II all music and art classes were cut from school programs.
In the present time group piano method is used widely in community colleges and universities across the United States. Children and adult classes are becoming very popular again. Modern piano lab setting has tremendously improved learning process with the advance technology. Students are showing excellent results, and it is more financially affordable for everyone than ever.
